Mission
Bethany Children’s Ministry seeks to partner with parents as they nurture their children’s spiritual and emotional development. Our primary programming happens on Sunday morning, with age-relevant musical worship and Bible study reinforced by a memorization program.
Wednesday nights and other activities throughout the year reinforce Bible learning, relationship with God, and provide fellowship and outreach opportunities. Bethany Children’s Ministries exists to grow our children in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ.
Regular Programs
Sunday School (kids 2 years old to 6th grade / Sundays 9:35-10:45AM) Weekly age-relevant Worship and Bible teaching to introduce children to our Great God. We use Faithweavers, designed to give children an overview of the Scriptures within a three-year period. All grades study the same passages, with different emphasis according to development. Elementary Sunday school includes both large and small group time, worship, and prayer room.
Preschool Church Time (kids 2 years old to kindergarten / Sundays during 11am Worship Service) Provides safe, loving care and interactive Sunday School review activities for our preschoolers while parents attend Worship Services.
Children’s Church (kids 1st-5th grades / Sundays during 11am Service) Provides a fun, age-relevant "Kids Version" of Pastor Phil's sermon after the children have joined the adults for the time of musical worship. Kids are dismissed for Kids' Church immediately before the sermon begins. Girls and Boys separate on the second and fourth Sundays of each month.
Nursery (infants and toddlers /Sundays 8AM-12:30PM) Provides safe, loving care for our infants and toddlers, instilling in them through prayer and loving associations a sense of belonging to Jesus and his church.
Kardia Kids (Nursery and Preschool / Wednesdays 9-11:15AM, Wednesdays 7-9PM) Nursery care and Preschool program provided for non-school age children while their mothers attend Kardia Bible Study.
Bethany Kids Care Team (kids 1st through 6th grades / Wednesdays 6:30--8PM) A club for committed kids to develop leadership and service skills through study and action. Activities include: running the church food pantry, leading worship at a local rest home, preparing meals for the homeless, and more!
Seasonal Programs
Vacation Bible School (Summers) One whole week devoted to providing the experiences and teaching to help boys and girls follow Jesus.
Summer Sunday Special (Summers) Provides a break from the regular Sunday School schedule for the children in an outdoor camp-themed experience.
Upward Sports Camps (Summers) Week-long day camps for elementary kids.

Monthly Family Memory Verse
Our Children’s Ministries is focusing on one verse or passage per month, and is encouraging the whole family to learn it. This is meant for the families of our children, but how wonderful would it be to know that our whole Church body was learning God’s Word!
May Verse: Matthew 28:19-20 – “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Weekly Family Devotional
Get Involved
Any Sunday is a great Sunday to get involved. Preschoolers check in on the patio between the Ministry Center and the main church sanctuary. Elementary kids check in to the God Zone, through the double doors in the breezeway outside the Sanctuary. The nursery is also located in the breezeway. All of our volunteers have been screened and we follow careful procedures to insure your child's safety. Remember, Sunday School starts at 9:40am!

Pre-Elementary open to Bethany School & Bethany Church children. Limited additional spaces for Pre-Elementary children available for kids with an Elementary sibling attending VBS.
