• I'd like to visit, now what?
The best place to start is probably one of our Sunday morning services. The services are held at 8:00am and 11:00am. The contents of the services are identical so you can feel free to choose the service that fits your schedule best. Back to Top • What are the services like?
We have a time of celebration through music with our worship band. After the music, a speaker (typically our Pastor, Philip Carlson) will present a topic from the Bible and discuss how it can apply to our daily lives. Back to Top • Where are the services held?
Both services are held on the Bethany campus in Sierra Madre in our newly renovated Sanctuary. The entrance is on Baldwin. Back to Top • Where should I park?
The church parking lot is off Highland Avenue which runs just north of the church. You can park there or in front of the church on Baldwin. Back to Top • What's the "ABF/Sunday School" thing between the services?
"ABF" stands for Adult Bible Fellowship, and it provides an opportunity to connect personally with a smaller group of people for prayer and study. The next step after attending a Sunday morning service is to find an ABF class that you like. The various classes are described in the handout that you will get at the worship service. Some classes are geared to a particular age group or people in a particular situation, others are multi-generational and open to all. Most ABF classes are held in rooms in the Ministry Center. There are also Sunday School classes at the same time for children from infants to High School in the school buildings south of the Ministry Center. Back to Top • What is the Living Room Cafe?
The Living Room Cafe is a short time after the first service and before the second service on Sunday mornings to meet together in a fun and casual atmosphere with free coffee and treats. Back to Top • What about my younger kids?
We have full programs for infants through Kindergarten kids during the Worship Services and during the Sunday School time. For children under 2 we have a fully equipped nursery with changing tables, cribs, toys, rocking chairs, and loving care. Children 2 through Kindergarten have a lot of fun in their classes where they play, do crafts, sing, and learn stories and principles form the Bible. Rose Gomez is our Nusery Coordinator and Pam Bell is our Preschool Coordinator. Back to Top • What about my elementary-aged kids?
For the start of the worship services, kids in grades 1 through 6 are encouraged to join their parents in the service. After the first 20 minutes or so of the service, kids in grades 1 through 3 will be excused and are welcome to participate in our special programs during the service for those ages. Kids 4th grade and older stay for the whole service. During the Sunday School time there are great programs for having fun and learning about God for all elementary ages. Back to Top • What about Jr. High, Sr. High students?
Our Student Ministries team has great programs including a great Sunday School time and mid-week programs. Brian Lenney is our Youth program pastor. Back to Top • Are there other things going on in the middle of the week?
Yes, we have a variety of things going on throughout the year. Check the calendar for details. Back to Top
