How to Get Connected
Bethany Church is a collection of authentic and diverse people ... and there are many and diverse ways of getting involved here! Believers need to be in intimate fellowship with other believers and to be serving with their gifts in some ministry. So, we provide lots of fellowship and service involvement opportunities. We urge you to seek a place where you can connect directly with the Bethany Church family. Here are some ideas.
For Fellowship:
ABF (Adult Bible Fellowship) - These are age-related or topic-specific groups that meet during the Sunday School Hour (9:35-10:40AM). Their focus is on connecting as believers by studying God’s Word together by topic or exposition. For a listing, click here.
Life Groups - We have women’s groups, men’s groups, couples’ groups, youth groups, children’s groups, ministry groups, support groups and several home-based groups with no set demographic. There is a place for you! These meet throughout the week at various times and different places. For a listing of Bethany small groups, pick up a copy of the Small Groups Directory or click here.
Meals Together - At Bethany, we recognize and celebrate the joy of fellowship over the breaking of bread. Formally and informally, we encourage people to share a meal together, whether it be after church on Sunday or an evening during the week. Many of our all-church activities incorporate a meal, affording us many chances to get to know one another face to face. Our "Living Room Cafe" is open every Sunday from 9:15 to 9:35, and from 10:40 to 11:00. This is a time for everyone to meet informally before or after the Sunday School hour.
For Service Opportunities:
We believe that serving others is at the core of what we do here at Bethany. We have a master list of all the service opportunities in the church.
If you are not yet sure of your gifting, we encourage you to speak with one of our pastors and to take our 301 class.
If you see a ministry need here at Bethany and you would like to start something new, please complete one of our New Ministry Request forms and speak with a pastor. We are always excited by what new things the Spirit can accomplish through each of us.

Service Opportunities
WORSHIP MINISTRY NEEDS YOUR HELP! If you are willing to serve as a Media Shout operator on Sunday mornings once a month, please contact Suzanne in the Church Office (626-355-1403, ext. 1607), or email her at suzanne@bethanyfamily.com. It is a simple program to learn, but vital to our worship experience on Sunday morning!
The Salvation Army has installed a small items collection box in the back parking lot by the Montecito entrance. If you have items you no longer need, feel free to drop them off at any time.
The Tape Ministry needs someone to help out after 2nd Service, selling tapes and cd’s. If you are willing to stay after church for 15 minutes, please contact Suzanne in the Church Office, or at 355-1403, ext. 1607.
REMINDER!! Recyclable aluminum cans and water bottles can be dropped in recycling containers at the southwest corner of the Ministry Center that are marked for Missionary Fellowship. These funds are helpful in sending cards and gifts to our missionaries’ children.
